32 members and 2 guests of the SA branch Lower Murray Gadabouts held an Australian Theme muster at the Mt Compass Caravan Park (one of our valued Member Benefit providers) on the Fleurieu Peninsula recently. Activities included visits to the Willunga markets and Victor Harbour. Members met at the camp kitchen, decorated with Australian flags for happy hours, pancake breakfast complete with fresh blackberries picked by Marie. Evening meal included pea and ham soup, meat pie, roast potatoes, mushy peas finished with dessert of pavlovas and lamingtons.
We had various members reading bush poems and then a sing along with lots of Australian favourites. As the theme was Australian, many of our members dressed to the theme and the winner with the best costume was one of our visitors, Dennis. We all had a great muster with lots of laughs.
