The ACCC Product Safety Australia has notified that there is a recall notice on Nissan D40 Navara (MY2006-2015) and Nissan C11 Tiida (MY2006-2012) stating that affected vehicles have a defective passenger’s airbag inflator which, if an affected vehicle is involved in an accident and the airbag goes off, the airbag inflator may rupture.  The notice states that in the event of an airbag inflator rupturing, metal fragments could possibly shoot out, straight through the airbag cushion material towards the vehicle occupants causing serious injury or fatality.
