RV Industry Workshops a Big Hit at Liverpool Plains
Following the success of two further and final RV Industry Workshops presented by the Australian Caravan Club (ACC) yesterday for the Liverpool Plains Shire business community, the workshops have been proclaimed as the strengthening of the relationship between businesses on the Liverpool Plains and RVers visiting the area, by ACC Chairman Craig Humphrey.
The final two RV Industry Workshops held at Quirindi Racecourse yesterday morning, and at Spring Ridge Community Hall last night, complemented the first workshop held on Tuesday night.
“When the Liverpool Plains Shire Council invited the ACC to present an RV-Friendly Business Seminar aimed at local business and the community and focussing on how to capture the burgeoning RV market, we welcomed the opportunity,” said Mr Humphrey. “Over 24 and 25 January, we have presented three workshops.”
“I can only describe the workshops as nothing less than the strengthening of the relationship between businesses on the Liverpool Plains and RVers visiting the area.”
“In fact, the workshops proved far more successful than we, the ACC, ever imagined they would be.”
The workshops commenced with a presentation with discussion topics including awareness-raising of the value of the RV industry to regional communities, how communities and individual businesses can encourage RVers to visit, and opportunities for business to access the burgeoning RV market.
“The workshops were professionally presented, and a number of our club members put in a tremendous effort to ensure their success.”
“On behalf of our club, I take this opportunity to thank our deputy chairman Tom Smith, club director Graham Christie, and club official John Snell from our Policy and Town Support Committee for what can only be described as excellent work in developing and presenting these workshops. Some of our presenters had to travel hundreds of kilometres to the Liverpool Plains.”
“Their spouses Sandra, Kaye and Kathy must also be thanked for their support.”
On completion of the Spring Ridge seminar last night, deputy chairman Tom Smith said, “The Spring Ridge community were particularly interested in ways of encouraging RVers to spend more time at their freedom camp. The longer RVers stay, the more RVers will spend economically supporting local businesses.”
“Following the success of the Liverpool Plains RV Industry Workshops, the ACC is happy to engage in discussions with other local authorities about undertaking similar presentations to their businesses and local community,” Mr Humphrey said.
RV Industry Workshop a Winner at Quirindi Racecourse
The launch of RV Industry Workshops by the Australian Caravan Club (ACC) was a winner last night with more than 20 members of the Liverpool Plains Shire business community attending at the Quirindi Racecourse for the first of three workshops to be held in the Liverpool Plains Shire, ACC Chairman Craig Humphrey said today.
Three industry workshops are now being presented to members of the Liverpool Plains Chamber of Commerce and business community by the ACC. The workshops are supported by the Liverpool Plains Shire Council.
The first workshop was held last night at the Quirindi Racecourse. A second workshop is planned for tonight at the Spring Ridge Community Hall. Due to demand, a third had to be added to the schedule.
“More than 20 people attended the RV Industry Workshop last night at the Quirindi Racecourse,” said Mr Humphrey. “The workshop proved to be a real winner for both the business and RV community.”
“We have received some very positive feedback from attendees,” said ACC Deputy Chairman Tom Smith who has been on the ground in Quirindi with members of the Club’s Policy and Town Support Team.
“In fact the demand for the workshops has been so great, that we have had to increase the number of workshops from two to three with a third one held this morning for those who were unable to get to last night’s workshop due to work and other commitments.”

“All ACC members in attendance were involved in the Question and Answer segment and a lot of good conversation and feedback was enjoyed over refreshments.”
“It was also humbling to have the Liverpool Plains Shire Council Mayor Cr Andrew Hope, thank the ACC and me personally for all that we have done in helping the LPSC,” said Mr Smith.
“The objects of the ACC are aimed at promoting the use of recreational vehicles and the RVing lifestyle throughout Australia for the benefit of its members. These industry workshops are part of what the ACC is all about,” Mr Humphrey said.

The Junee Golf Club Campground offers ACC members special rates of $5.00 per night for unpowered sites, and $15.00 per night for powered sites (a discount of $5.00 per night off the standard rate) for a minimum stay of two nights. There is a maximum stay of five nights. ACC members must show their current ACC membership card when booking in.
The campground has town water and flat grassed sites. Golf is available ‘almost anytime’ with 18 grass greens and there is a bike/walking path to the Junee town centre.
The Golf Club facilities are available during trading hours and toilets are accessible 24 hours a day. There is a dump point at the Laurie Daley Oval entrance.
Pets are permitted but must be kept under control, and large numbers of pets per RV are not encouraged.
Junee attractions include the Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory, Monte Cristo (the haunted house), Junee Roundhouse Museum, Broadway Historical Museum and Ray Warren statue so there’s plenty to do in and around town.
The Golf Club offer a package of two days unlimited golf for two players for $140 including a cart, and $80 excluding a cart. The cost of accommodation is additional to the package price.
